AFFORDABLE LUXURY WITHIN A COMPACT FLOOR AREA OF 15.5M²

The Metropole Hotel in Cork's Victorian Quarter is a much loved local landmark although in need of some love itself. Its owners obtained planning consent for a comprehensive refurbishment, which included a new extension to be built using off-site fabricated steel frame volumetric modular construction.

Working within prescribed module sizes, we developed a standard room layout that optimises the available floor space and volume with an efficient, liveable and functional arrangement providing all of the creature comforts expected of a modern hotel but within a compact floor area of 15.5m².
