THE OTTO ONE BED

BLENDING OLD WITH NEW, THE MODERN AND THE ANTIQUE

In collaboration with Londonewcastle and the London Borough of Hackney, we developed a strong design narrative which is reflected in the selection of furniture pieces and textiles to bring a distinct personality to this interior that fits with the eclectic style brand aesthetic of this new residential development in East London.

Blending old with new, the modern and the antique, we sourced and curated furniture pieces and accessories to form an eclectic mix of objects and artworks, each with their own story to tell. A small netsuke collection, inspired by the book The Hare with Amber Eyes by Edmund de Waal's is displayed inside an antique glass vitrine sourced from iconic British luxury brand, Asprey. Local maker Jo Davies and artist Gregory Tingay were commissioned to create hand made ceramics. Drapes in sumptuous textiles by Timorous Beasties and House of Hackney were used also.
