THE DESIGN AND REALISATION OF A FULL SIZE DEMONSTRATION PROTOTYPE APARTMENT

As part of The Nova Building commision, we undertook the design and realisation of a full size demonstration prototype apartment which was constructed in a warehouse offsite. Its purpose was to evaluate the spatial concepts of the interior design as well as the materials and finishes specified and also to develop and test the interior architectural details and interfaces to demonstrate matters of buildability, services integration and spatial fit, coordination, lighting design and control.

Once complete, we were also responsible for the FF&E design, dressing and styling of the space selecting characterful furniture pieces including lounge chairs by Paul Kjaerholm and a sofa by Jaime Hayon.
